  • What are the opportunities afforded by current and future genomics data that are not already described in the whitepaper?

  • Are there strong and/or special attributes of the Compositae that should be emphasized more in the white paper?

  • Are there additional (unique) research opportunities for the Compositae that should be emphasized?

  • What is currently limiting research on the Compositae?

  • How do we address these limitations?

  • Do you agree with the list of resources needed?

  • Do you agree with the short, medium and long-term priorities described in the whitepaper?

  • How do we establish benchmarks and metrics for progress towards meeting these priorities?

  • How do we communicate effectively between Compositae researchers?

  • How should research across diverse Compositae species be communicated and coordinated?

  • How should a formal steering committee be formed and who should be on it? Volunteers?

  • What additional bioinformatics and database resources are needed?

  • How do we develop controlled vocabularies to facilitate searches across databases within the Compositae as well as with species in other families?

  • Do you agree with the proposed sequencing priorities for Compositae species?

  • What are the funding opportunities for the Compositae? How do we identify additional funding sources?

  • What additional the stakeholders are there and what is their political influence?

  • Who are the key people to be kept informed of research on the Compositae?

  • Are there the opportunities relative to the new funding initiatives being directed to bioenergy, botanicals and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation?

  • What additions and refinements need to be made to the draft of the white paper?

  • Any other suggestions or comments?
